This project focused on improving marketing measurement for a business running paid advertising campaigns and seeking better visibility into website actions generated by its ads. The tracking strategy considered the appropriate use of Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, and Google Analytics 4, depending on the business’s requirements.
Meta Pixel can help measure supported browser-based website events, while Conversions API can send eligible event data from a server or supported integration. When both methods are implemented, event deduplication must be configured correctly to reduce the risk of counting the same conversion more than once.
The tracking setup may include important actions such as page views, lead submissions, purchases, and other relevant conversion events. Testing helps verify that events are triggered correctly and that the necessary parameters are being passed.
GA4 can provide complementary website analytics, while Google Tag Manager may help organize supported tracking tags. Consent requirements, privacy obligations, and platform policies must be considered when collecting and sharing event data.
The objective is to establish a more consistent measurement foundation for evaluating advertising performance, understanding customer actions, and making informed optimization decisions. Actual tracking accuracy depends on the implementation, browser restrictions, consent choices, and available data.
